Summary
The City of San Marino ("City") is requesting Statements of Qualifications/Proposals for RFQ/RFP 2025-RFP-022 for Architectural Design Services for Lacy Park Office Renovation. All submittals are due before 3:00 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2026.
Full description
The City of San Marino is a small, primarily residential community of approximately 13,000 residents located in the San Gabriel Valley of Los Angeles County. The City owns and operates Lacy Park, a prominent 35-acre public park, that includes administrative and support facilities for City park staff. The existing Lacy Park office building is approximately 750 square feet and was constructed several decades ago. The building has numerous deferred maintenance issues, is not compliant with current ADA accessibility requirements, and contains an outdated layout that no longer meet the operational needs of City staff. The City intends to renovate and modernize the existing facility to better support current staff functions, improve accessibility and address long-term maintenance concerns. The renovation is anticipated to remain largely within the existing building footprint due to site constraints, while delivering a functional, efficient, and code-compliance facility that meets current standards.A pre-proposal walkthrough will be held on February 17, 2026 at 2 PM at Lacy Park, located at 1485 Virginia Rd, San Marino, CA 91108. This will be an opportunity for prospective proposers to visit the site to better understand its existing conditions and design opportunities. City staff will also be present and available for questions.
