Full description
The City of St. Augustine operates and maintains diverse facilities, infrastructure, and public spaces that require reliable and professional electrical services to ensure safety, functionality, and continuity of operations. These assets include historically significant structures, many of which require specialized care to preserve their character while meeting modern electrical and safety standards.Given the ongoing and unpredictable nature of electrical needs, the City seeks to establish continuing services agreements with qualified electrical contractors who can provide responsive, high-quality services on an as-needed basis. Challenges associated with this work may include coordinating services across multiple locations, responding to urgent or emergency conditions, working within occupied or publicly accessible facilities, and performing work within historic buildings where sensitivity to preservation requirements, limited access conditions, and coordination with applicable preservation guidelines may be necessary, in addition to full compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.A successful continuing services partner will demonstrate strong technical expertise, reliability, and the ability to collaborate effectively with City staff and apply best practices when working in historic environments, all while maintaining a high standard of workmanship and supporting the City’s mission to serve residents, businesses, and visitors.
