Eglin AFB Directional Signage Design Build

Summary

The contractor shall furnish all parts, labor, tools, materials, plans, and transportation necessary to design and construct code compliant directional traffic signage to Eglin AFB signs within the surrounding areas of Eglin AFB, FL. The Contractor shall be responsible for ensuring the design and construction meets all the applicable most recent standards and guidance. The design and construction shall be reviewed/inspected/approved by FDOT. General sign components may consist of footings, standard and custom poles, sign panels, high intensity grade reflective vinyl copy/arrows/background, and lighting. Custom foundations and mounting methods may be required for locations that interfere with underground utilities or limited spacing. The Contractor is responsible for contacting Florida’s 811 prior to any digging activities to ensure all utilities are marked and avoided.

This Design-Build project is to construct and install directional guide signage along the roadways approaching Eglin AFB. The intent of the additional signage being constructed is to increase the public’s awareness that they are approaching the Eglin AFB entry control facilities to reduce the number of misdirected drivers arriving at the gate.
