Summary
The County of Sacramento is soliciting bids for a contractor to build and install nine-foot utility service bodies on three (3) brand new, County-owned, ten thousand two hundred (10,200) pound GVWR, single rear wheel, super cab, cab and chassis units. In the first year of contract, the County intends to purchase a minimum of three (3) and a maximum of six (6) bodies installed on County-owned chassis.The new cab and chassis units will be provided to the successful bidder (contractor) as described within the written specifications and as delivered from the manufacturer with no modifications or preparations to accept the bodies. The contractor will be responsible for all modifications and installations related to the mounting of the bodies onto the chassis, and all other mechanical and electrical modifications and installations necessary to make all body accessories and equipment fully operational. Any equipment, modifications, parts, and labor not specifically outlined within these written specifications, but necessary to meet the specification requirements and to make the unit fully functional shall be included. The completed units will be used by the County of Sacramento as municipal utility service trucks. There is potential for the County to request additional units on this RFB both gasoline/diesel chassis and electric chassis (see III. BODY REQUIREMENTS; V.
