Project OverviewThe County of San Mateo is seeking quotations from qualified vendors for comprehensive carpet cleaning services at two San Mateo County facilities. Both locations require a deep clean of all cubicle areas, office spaces, conference rooms, and hallways. 2. Current Condition & ScopeTime Since Last Clean: Approximately 8 years.High-Traffic Areas: Hallways and cubicle walkways show significant wear.Stain Removal: Specific areas require targeted stain treatment and heavy-duty spotting.Method: Vendors should specify their cleaning method suitable for high-traffic commercial grade carpets.Wicking Prevention & Warranty: Due to the age of the stains, the vendor must utilize a cleaning process designed to prevent wicking (the re-emergence of stains during the drying process).If stains reappear once the carpet is fully dry, the vendor must return to retreat those areas at no additional cost. The Department will notify the selected vendor within 72 hours if stains reappear. 3. ScheduleTo minimize disruption to daily operations, the work may be performed during the following window:Days: Saturday and/or Sunday.Hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM. 4. Mandatory Site WalkthroughA mandatory walkthrough of both spaces is required before a final quote can be submitted.
