Summary

The Regional Transportation District (RTD) intends to award multiple contracts for Design Support Consultant services on an as needed basis (each a “Contract”). The majority of the design work is expected to be for renovations, modernization and repairs of existing assets. A fraction of the work may be related to new assets. This solicitation intends for the selected consulting firms (each, a “DSC” or “Consultant”) to function as a strategic partner to RTD’s staff by providing a range of design support consultant services on various upcoming projects, as needed. Future projects under a Contract may include, but are not guaranteed or limited to the following:Parking Structure RepairsMiscellaneous Facilities ProjectsLight Rail Systems upgrades and State of Good Repair SupportTraction Power / Traction Power Substation Upgrades / Replacement SupportLight Rail Track and Appurtenances Repair and ReplacementLight Rail System – Increase capacity for high volume events and ResiliencyCommuter Rail Track and systems workHighway / Rail Grade Crossing ImprovementsVarious Bridge Repairs / Bridge Maintenance ProgramMiscellaneous roofing projects for RTD facilitiesHWY 119 BRTDesign SupportOperating Division Security UpgradesSafety and Security ImprovementsElevators / Vertical ConveyanceRTD seeks to create a pool of firms with experience and expertise in a broad range of design areas. Public sector experience is desired. The Scope of Work is presented in eight categories of consultant support and skillsets that are anticipated to be needed as initiatives are undertaken. As needed, RTD will define detailed work order scopes and request proposals from one or more of the pre-qualified, pre-contracted Consultants in accordance with Section 5 of the Scope of Work. Through the Request for Quote (RFQ) process which will result in the Contracts, Proposers should have teams that demonstrate expertise and experience in each of the 8 categories below.
