Full description

Charlottesville Area Transit (CAT) operates a busy fleet of transit buses and support vehicles that experience heavy daily use, long service hours, and a wide range of environmental conditions. As a result, vehicles accumulate dirt, debris, odors, and wear that require regular deep cleaning to ensure a clean, sanitary, and comfortable environment for both passengers and drivers.Previous challenges have included performing deep cleanings while balancing service schedules, maintaining consistent cleaning quality across a diverse fleet, and ensuring the use of environmentally responsible products. Reliable, high-quality cleaning services are critical not only for rider comfort and public health but also for sustaining a professional image and extending vehicle longevity.A vendor who brings strong experience, sufficient staffing, reliable equipment, and an ability to work efficiently within limited operational windows will greatly support CAT’s service goals. Exceptional vendors will demonstrate strict adherence to safety protocols, proactive communication, detailed reporting, and the capacity to quickly respond to special or emergency cleaning needs.
