The project consists of the rehabilitation of a 2 bedroom (approximately 879 sqft) City owned affordable housing unit located at 300 Glenwood Cir # 179 in the City of Monterey. The City's goal is to preserve and enhance the quality, safety, and livability of affordable housing units.The rehabilitation process addresses critical repairs and upgrades needed to bring the unit up to current building code standards, improve energy efficiency, and extend the unit's service life. The scope of work is tailored to the condition of the unit and includes:Repairing or replacing flooring, cabinetry, appliances, and fixturesRenovating kitchens and bathrooms to ensure safety, functionality, and modern usabilityUpgrading electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems Enhancing energy efficiency through window, door, and insulation improvements Addressing accessibility needs in accordance with ADA and Fair Housing Act standards Correcting health and safety code violationsAll rehabilitation activities will be conducted in compliance with CDBG program requirements, including environmental review, labor standards (Davis-Bacon, if applicable).
