Full description
The City's Tollway substation has seen several 34.5kV bus flashovers on both buses over the last couple of years. The primary cause of these failures was determined to be the amount of salt spray contamination, from the adjacent tollway, that forms on the bus insulators. Regular cleaning has proven ineffective and requires labor intensive periodic maintenance. As such, the Utility is looking to move its 34.5kV switchgear indoor into a new switchgear building which will be constructed as part of this bid.
