Summary
The City of Urbana is seeking assistance with bridge inspection and bridge program management services for the City's bridge and structure inventory, including 12 bridges subject to the National Bridge Inspection Standards (NBIS) and 17 structures not subject to the NBIS, for inspections due in calendar years 2026 and 2027. The bridge inspections and bridge program management services shall be according to NBIS and Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) requirements. Inspections for bridges subject to NBIS require utilization of the IDOT Bridge Inspection System (BIS). Full description
The term for the current bridge program manager for the City of Urbana will end March 6, 2026. The City needs a consultant bridge program manager for calendar years 2026 and 2027. After March 6, 2026, the City will have one certified bridge inspector on staff. The selected consultant bridge program manager will be expected to work in partnership with the City's bridge inspector.
